Friends/enemies coming over? Going to a party and don’t want to take generic cake or chocolate. Well make some healthy bread and dips.
Homemade beetroot dip is 1 million times better than store bought. It is super easy to make, you just need to boil the beetroot.
- 1 beetroot
- 3/4 cup Greek yogurt
- 2 cloves garlic - crushed
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp salt
Trim the stem from the beetroot and place it into a pot. Cover with cold water and bring to the boil. Turn heat down and simmer for 25 minutes or until soft. Test with skewer.
Put on some gloves. That shit will stain!
Peel the beetroot then cut into chunks. Let it cool.
Once cool, place the beetroot in a blender with garlic, yogurt, cumin and salt. Blend until desired consistency.
Serve with pita, sliced vegetables or crackers.
